I’m afraid I’m not the best at introductions, and I imagine if you are reading this you probably know me in some capacity already whether online or in real life. Still, here’s the gist to give you some idea of where this blog is coming from.
I’m a British student who’s spent the last two years at university in the US. Over the next two years I’ll be traveling and finishing my BA in International Affairs and Middle Eastern Studies with a semester interning in NYC, then three semesters in Cairo or Beirut, and summers in as of yet unknown destinations, before jumping off the great precipice that is graduation and into the real world. What will happen after that will have to be figured out when I get to it.
On a political compass I come in as pretty firmly leftist-libertarian. However, I like to make decisions based upon the problems and merits of the people and issues at hand as opposed to out of loyalty to some idealist line, and I alwasy love a good discussion so if you don’t think you’ll agree with me please read and comment all the same. I’m also always interested in checking out other blogs whether they tend to agree with my take on things or not so feel free to point me to yours or another you read.
My spirituality, sexuality, and general manner of self-identity also differ somewhat from the main stream so if you consider that a problem then this probably isn’t the place for you.
